This week for Science, 3EC were 'rock detectives' and their mission was to find out which types of rocks would be best suited to make statues with. They did this by doing scratch tests on many types of rock, such as chalk, marble and slate to name a few. They quickly established that the chalk would be the worst rock to use as it was too soft and crumbly. They concluded that marble and granite were the most likely rocks chosen as they were the hardest and had minimal scratch marks on them.

Week commencing Monday 27th January 2020.
